Life altering book...I learned more from this book than I ever expected. It has changed my life so much for the better!
The version has multiple errors - "man" appears where "than" appears to be the correct word, and the Appendix appears to be truncated by the "You've finished" page. Otherwise, I enjoyed the book.
Some of the reviews mentioned typographical flaws. I found no such flaws in my edition. What I did find was a very readable and well argued narrative theology. I would highly recommend this book for anyone who wants to know what narrative theology is about - with a few caveats. First, although the author does a very good job of defining technical terms, I think this book is really better suited for someone with some background in theology. I would not recommend it as an introduction to the whole field of theology. With just a little background, not necessarily a seminary degree, however, this can be excellent. Second, the author is clear that he is writing from the Wesleyan tradition of Christianity. I personally come from that same tradition, so I naturally resonated with his line of reasoning. To be fair, however, those from other Christian traditions may need to do a bit of translating to bring the biblical narratives alive within their own tradition. Even so, it is a good book and one I intend to recommend to my friends.
